Hula on over as we kick off the new school year with a family fun night!
August 19th - September 20th
Let your creativity shine by participating in a national PTA Art competition. Show how you "accept imperfection" through dance choreography, film, literature, music, photography and/or visual arts.
September 4th
Discover the joy of creating whimsical characters with a lively art instructor and experience the excitement of drawing.
September 20th
Bring your own chairs and blankets, munch on some popcorn, and enjoy a family movie under the stars.
October 2nd
Walk to school with your Big Springs community on National Walk to School Day!
Meet at 7:25 am at either of the following locations to walk together as a group:

One of our most popular events of the year! Put on your best costumes and have some Spooktakular fun!
October 30th
Our annual pumpkin patch is set up each year for all students to choose a pumpkin to take home.
November 20th
Groove your body with some hula hooping and hoop dancing to your top jams, all while absorbing some positive fitness, health, and nutrition tips!
November 18-22
A fun event spreading kindness within the school community, involving everyone from the staff to the teachers to the students.
December 5th
We are proud to be part of the 32nd anniversary of Spark of Love's effort to provide new, unwrapped toys to children and teenagers in need across Ventura, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties. It is a privilege to work alongside the County of Los Angeles Fire Department, ABC7, Toys for Tots, and firefighters from Southern California to make this initiative a reality.

It's a special day to honor our students and let them know just how much we value their dedication and effort.

Reading night is a fun evening where parents and children come together to hear stories, eat treats, and connect with the Big Springs community.

The Family Dance is a fun and thrilling occasion where students get to groove to their favorite songs and play games alongside their classmates and family members.

The Honorary Service Awards and Reflections Banquet celebrates the hard work and dedication of staff and volunteers who have positively influenced the lives of children in the community, and acknowledges and showcases the creative talents of Reflections participants.
April 12th
The Junior Olympics is an exciting yearly competition where Big Springs students participate in track and field and sports tournaments against 24 other elementary schools in Simi Valley.
April 21-25
We truly value our staff and teachers at Big Springs, and we enjoy spoiling them with gifts and treats for a whole week.
May 5th
The Family Picnic is the perfect way to end the year with our Big Springs community, enjoying delicious food, playing games, and having a blast!
June 3rd
The day we all come together to show our principal how much we value his hard work for our school.
June 4th
We make the day extra special for our 5th-grade graduates.

If the students achieve the APEX goal, they can celebrate by enjoying some cool and delicious treats as they slide into summer.
