What exactly does the Big Springs PTA do and why should you, your student and your family members join?
School Events: We put on events like family dances, movie nights, reading nights, pumpkin patch, trunk or treat, family picnic, junior olympics, graduation, etc.
Programs: We started the music program last year and also fund field trips, assemblies and other programs benefiting our students.
Teacher Support: We support our teachers with supplies, teacher & staff appreciation week and other events throughout the year.
Upgrades: We help fund upgrades to the school every year in addition to donating play equipment and other supplies to benefit the school.

Research has shown that children perform better in school when their parents are involved! Big Springs Elementary is outstanding partly because of the strong parental involvement. Being a part of the PTA is a fun way to invest in your child’s future, learn more about the school, and make new friends. Everyone in the community has something valuable to offer and we welcome any time you can give.
