The Big Springs Elementary PTA is 100% volunteer-run by parents, teachers, faculty and community members. Research has shown that children perform better in school when their parents are involved!  Big Springs Elementary is outstanding because of our amazing faculty and strong parental involvement. The PTA serves the entire school by providing funding for a long list of school needs along with hundreds of volunteer hours each year. We put our hearts and muscle into building a strong school and community to support our teachers and our kids.

Since the 1970s, education spending in California has decreased significantly and programs, events, supplies, and facilities improvements that many of us took for granted as children are no longer funded. The PTA helps bridge the state funding gap and provides support to Big Spring Elementary school students and staff.  Specifically, the PTA provides funding for: field trips, assemblies, student enrichment, community events, family programs, faculty support, classroom supplies, library supplies and additional librarian hours, PE & playground equipment, site maintenance and improvements throughout the campus.
